Tell me what life would be like for a serf's son named George in the Middle Ages. Then tell me what life would be like for a squire named Freddie. How are their lives the same? How are they different?

George's life wouldn'd be so easy as a surf. George's dad was a surf .In the Miedieval ages if your father or mother was a surf you were one too.A surf's life wasn't so easy. Thay did a lot of work. They didn't live well ether. Their house was probably small and cold. Freddie on the other hand. Had a better life. He would serve in a nobel's house or castel. He would cut meat for the noble. Then serve it to him. His father was a nobel and sent Freddie away. He only sent Freddie away so that Freddie could learn how to work on his own. Thay have some things that are the same. Like thay both work, thay didn't live a very good life, and both work for a nobel. Some things weren't the same. Like Freddie was a nobel's son, and lived a better life. George was a serf's son, and didn't live so well.

For George {the serf} life would be sad and depressing. George would have to work for long periods of time for nothing but food and land { that I think wasn't very profitable because they didn't earn money from it.} Also, if the king lost the serf's land the serf, then on became part of that king's land. I for one wouldn't want to be a serf. Freddie's life would be not as bad as George's but it still had it's ups and downs. Squires were treated better than the serf's but still the nobles outclass them and treat them bad. The differences are that the squires have a decent life but the serf's have a terrible one. The thing they have in common is that they both aren't treated the same as we are treated now. Either way, I'm lucky I wasn't alive in that time period!

I agree with you on the part that said; I'm glad that I wasn't born in the Medieval Times!

I think it would be very hard , having your dad leave all the time to go work for other people and then knowing that that's the same future you're going to have. For a squire it would a much better live , not the best but still get treated better . Both happen in the same time and are not at head of loyalty . They are different because they get treated differently from each other .

The serf's son,George,is treated badly and unfair.George for example eats the left-overs left on a bread called a trencher from the king.A squire named Freddie eats good food not leftovers, joins a feast with the king, and act to the king in a good manner.George as a serf, has to work in the fields with the other serfs. What is the same is they still get a home and they do at least eat.Serfs have to do hard work as their king says and pleases. The king can raise taxes on the serfs.A squire boy,as for Freddie, serve as a page at the age of 14.If Freddie served well for the Lord,he becomes a knight.Squires like Freddie serve knights by dressing him, bringing him fresh supplies, and whatever the knight needed help with.Squires also like Freddie helped care wounds if knights had in tournaments. So the serf's son George and the squire Freddie, are really different.George as a serf get not that much respect and is treated unfairly.Freddie as a squire gets respect and someday be a knight if served their Lord well.

Life for George wouldn't be fun at all. He would have to work on the land just for food and a place to stay. Freddie's life would be a little easier. The thing they have in common is that they are not first class people. How their lives are different is that the squires get treated better than the serfs. I am glad that I wasn't Born the Medieval times! (I agree with Joel.)

I think George's life would be sad and depressing and I think they were very hard chores to do. George would work very hard for food and land and even homes and I think it was hard to do jobs to get money.and they are both workaholics and hard working men.And George is a serf and Freddie is a squire but there lives are different because George is a serf he works really hard to get land and food even money and Freddie is a squire he works for food, money, and homes. And their similarities is that they are workaholics and fight for stuff..😃😃😃😃😜💋💋💋💋

Well George's life would really be bad, he'd always have to stay at one place which would be so boring. Also having to serve the owners would suck. Now on the other hand a life of being a squire wouldn't be so bad. Like you would get to have fun and do more things.

It wouldn't be easy for George because he would have to do a lot of work and he would have to serve the kings and queens.George wouldn't just have to work for the kings and queens he would have to do a lot of farming. The life of Freddie as a squire wouldn't be so hard because he wouldn't have to serve other people and work every single day.Freddie would grow up to be a squire at age fourteen and if he does everything he had to do he would grow up to be a knight.what George and Freddie have in common is that they would both have to work.the things they don't have in common is that George would have a difficult life and Freddie would have a much easier life.

George has no choice to be a serf because his father was a serf. His life will be harder than a normal person because of the work he has to do. Serfs have to work, work, work. The land the were assigned to work on they stay on the rest of there life, farming the same land till he dies. Being passed on to different leaders that own the newly boughten land.
On the other hand, Freddie being a squire, with better care, like food and shelter, lives an easier life. He will soon, in a couple years, be a knight.
Their lives could be similar in some ways, both young men, and living in the same era. ( I can't think of anything else they might have in common...)

George was at a bad postition just because he didnt have as much money as the others and a chance like the others. On the other hand Freddie was one rank away from a knight, if he played his cards right he could be a knight in one day. Thier life are diffrent but the same time. A way they're diffrent is because Freddie can boss the serfs around. The serfs had to earn thier food water etc. How they were the same they both could gets sick and starve but Freddie had the advantage over Goerge. It would suck to live back then.

George's life was hard, yelled at,whipped, and other stuff. He might had no friends.Because most of all his friends are squires or pages while poor George lives in the cold outside of the castle. His wish might be this "I want to get out of this crap so bad!" or something like that.

A squire named Freddie is the richest boy in school ( if they have school back then) he gets free carriage rides ( if the people had to pay). Then walking outside to see if the serfs were working or else be whipped!!!!!!!! The whipper give Freddie the whip to whip the serfs who weren't working or doing their duty right. While Freddie was about to whip George 's dad George push his dad away to be whip himself.Freddie question George why he did that for, while George answer the question "I did what was right for my life and my dad to." In the end Freddie and George became friends.

I think being George {the serf} whould be a pretty harsh life. First of all you would have to work for his food but the food he eats might be leftovers and he would not be treated as fair as Freddie.

As Freddie it would be easy for him to live. He has a lot more things he could and he might have a lot more free time then George.

They are both kinda the same because they have to work for the king without asking questions
